Yako Stavrolakes has always had an interest and passion for music, traveling and learning about other cultures. He began his musical studies on the cello and, from an early age, spent summers at the Aegean Institute, a Summer Abroad Program in Greece his parents founded and directed for almost 30 years. His work has primarily focused on concert production and artist management for tours throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. He spent 5 years at IMG Artists, where he was fortunate to work with numerous prominent musicians and groups within Classical music and World music. Yako went on to work in the Management Department of the Aspen Music Festival & School in Aspen, Colorado. He has worked on TV appearances by artists on various programs (NBC, CBS, CNN), as well as events including the World Economic Forum Concert. Yako also has a dedicated interest in film music and, in 2006, he music supervised his first film.
